About Emily
I was sighted for my entire life. Until I became visually impaired. My name is Emily and I love taking photos.
I have a Visual Processing Impairment that means I can still see, but my brain stops processing/interpreting what I am seeing. Just two days after Christmas in 2020, I noticed couldn't interpret what I was seeing. I went to the eye doctor and the doctor gave me diagnoses.
In April 2021, I was diagnosed with tunnel vision that means my peripheral vision is small.
I use a white cane to navigate the world.
I have been doing photography since I was little. I love picking up the camera and taking pictures of things and making memories. I really got into photography in July 2018 when I went to Disneyland and I saw people taking there and I got inspired from there. My passion is to show the world what it is like to be visually impaired when you don't know what you are seeing. I currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.
